getting back into my weeb phase

Improvement-Club, i've never been good with hands, or facial expressions. So as usual, there's something off about both of them. She's supposed to look rather concentrated, but more so calm or serene. Also the smudging at her sides is supposed to make her look like she's spinning (towards her left), but that didn't turn out very well. How would i make her look like she's spinning? Or, just how does one draw motion, in general? Then finally there's just anime style in general. I try to do that, but it never looks quite anime enough. Maybe it's the thickness of the lineart?? Any other advice would also be greatly appreciated.
